“Wearing our Richard Coker Foundation hat on Thursday 19 June; our chief fundraiser Baba-Jallah Epega had the pleasure & honour of hosting the collaborative Sickle Cell Alliance’s ‘World Sickle Cell Day “Transforming Care & Strengthening Communities”; Event’ in the W12Conferences venue at the Hammersmith Hospital, West London. From eminent medical professionals, we learned about the ongoing efforts to advance sickle cell research and treatment whilst stories of pain transformed into power to fulfil purpose were shared by many talented individuals & groups. A truly inspirational and uplifting day was had by patients, medics and all that attended.
