In Loving memory of Richard Coker Enahoro who passed in 2004, our dearly beloved brother, friend and son.

The prize giving event was held in the main hall at Holy Child Girls College, Ikoyi, Lagos which was set up in 1945. The alma mater of Founder Chief Julie Coker. It started with the welcoming of guests and students to the celebration of the life of dear Richard.

Welcoming of guests to the high table, was led by our dear mother Chief Julie Coker whose warm infectious glow was felt by everyone in the audience. Guests were hosted by RCF CEO Mr. Baba-Jallah Epega, big cousin Mr. Benjamin Awiri, dear friend Mr. Fauzi Fahm whilst the high table included ex Executive Director of Bank of Industry, Mr. Waheed Olagunju, who made a generous donation to the Foundation; Mr. Ayoola Olajide, Editor of The Sickle Cell News Magazine who spoke on his personal sickle cell condition triumphs; Duchess Doris, Founder of the Genotype Foundation who educated the keen students on the importance of knowing your genotype; Sister Christy Olagunju, Administrator of Holy Child Girls College who prayed for us all and several other heads of academia from Ikorodu and Ikoyi that played integral parts in making the 20th Anniversary celebration a resounding success. Our dear nation’s National Anthem and the Holy Childs Girls College Anthem were both sang fondly and heartily in chorus. Essay writing awards and money prizes were given by RCF to x10 overall best students across the years whilst stage performances showcased the life and challenges of sickle cell anaemia.

Senator Daisy Danjuma and her elder sister Dr. Edugie Abebe kindly donated x200 food packs to students and guests alike.

In the month of International Women’s Day RCF felt it was important to celebrate a great lady so as to inspire the girls of Holy Child College to attaining their life goals as future leaders within our community.
